At the end of 2019, Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality(STCMSM) has approved the establishment of Shanghai Engineer Research Center for Blockchain Applications and Services(SERCBAAS). Supported by Tongji University , SERCBAAS has set out its mission to be the frontier in blockchain area and the pursuit of a blockchain R&D base with advanced level. Through independent research and development and introduction of advanced technology, we carry out industry-education-research cooperation, continuously increase investment in scientific research, establish a technological innovation system, and maintain the leading technology advantage of the same industry in Shanghai, so as to lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the blockchain. We will upgrade the new technology mode through the technological transformation of blockchain, enhance the coverage of blockchain in various industries, and improve the quality and efficiency through the strong influence, strong network and the support of science and technology service brought by SERCBAAS.
Our recent main research topics are:
(1) Building industry oriented blockchain as a service(BaaS) platform (or Blockchain management platform)
Research general services such as secure multi-party computing, distributed digital identity authentication, big data analysis and access. Research cross chain transactions, provide intelligent contract management tools, realize mixed deployment of blockchain network. Support Chinese national secret algorithm, support multiple mainstream public clouds, and support private cloud deployment;
(2) Research on the core technology of the underlying platform of blockchain
Study secure and efficient consensus algorithm, encryption and protection scheme of transaction data on blockchain, privacy protection scheme of blockchain participants and application of trusted execution environment (TEE) technology in blockchain. Enhance timeliness of blockchain transaction. Research and improve transaction performance of blockchain in high concurrency scenario.
(3) Research on distributed digital identity authentication service
Based on the standard of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), realize the universal distributed digital identity authentication service, and the functions of privacy protection and self-management of digital identity.
